Replacing a Toner Cartridge in a Canon Laser Printer

- Get the old cartridge- Hold the cover plate of the Canon Printer from the both ends and pull it. In most of the canon printers, the cover is located on the front of the machine.
- Eliminate the cartridge- When the cartridge becomes old it becomes barrel in shape and it sits straightly inside the housing unit.
- Hold the handle of the ink container and pull it up and out.
- Now, take out the ink container by slightly sliding it out and be careful while doing it to prevent any ink leakage.
- Remove the cover from the new cartridge, cut its plastic wrapping to uncover it. Also, locate the red tag on the sealing tape and pull it towards yourself.
- Now, finally you have to install the new cartridge.
- Hold the new cartridge in a horizontal direction and firmly shake it to distribute the ink inside.
- Now, insert it into the housing while making sure that the red arrow is on the top of the cartridge and line up with the arrow on the printer.
- Now, close the cover of the printing machine. You will notice that the cartridge has realigned itself by making a rotational noise.
